ProletariaLABOR DATA
ABOUT

Who builds this, and how

Proletaria is a labor-market analytics terminal. It publishes daily data about companies, skills, and open roles, built entirely from a polite daily diff of employers’ own careers sites and applicant-tracking-system (ATS) APIs. Nothing here is estimated, scraped from a third-party job board, or backfilled from a public dataset — every listing is tied to the employer’s own posting URL.

Scraping posture

Collection is deliberately polite. Each employer’s careers site or ATS is fetched on a per-host rate limit with backoff, and ATS APIs (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and similar) are always preferred over scraping rendered HTML when an employer publishes one. A scrape that fails validation, or that looks suspect against the employer’s own history, is quarantined for that day rather than allowed to produce “removed” events — see how quarantine works.

Employer attribution

Every listing links back to the employer’s own posting. Proletaria does not host applications, collect candidate data, or represent itself as the hiring employer — it is an independent read on public postings, cited the way the data-use terms on the API page describe.

Corrections and opt-out

If you run an employer’s careers site and want a correction, or want your postings excluded from this ledger, contact [email protected].
